Football at TAMU
Howdy,
Nothing beats the aggie spirit. Despite all odds, the home team shall always find a stadium full of students dressed in maroon shirts, standing, and cheering until the end of the game. Consequently Kyle field is ranked as the #1 college football stadium in the nation.
The thrill and excitement in the air at each football game is worth mentioning. It just cannot be expressed in words and has to be experienced. Further, to see a world cup sort of match, you need to witness a TAMU Aggies vs. t.u. Longhorns* game.
* "Varsity's horns are sawed off"
At the actual football games, Aggie fans stand throughout to signal their willingness to serve as "12th man" on the team if the coach should need them enthusiastically waiting to barge in when the eleven men on the ground need assistance. That spirit of readiness for service, desire to support, and enthusiasm helped rouse a flame of devotion among the entire student body; a spirit that has grown vigorously throughout the years. The entire student body at A&M is the Twelfth Man, and they stand during the entire game to show their support, and always ready in the stands waiting to be called upon if they are needed.
- That’s football at TAMU.
Gig ’Em Aggies.
Aggie Spirit: From the outside in, you can't understand it. From the inside
out, you can't explain it. That is why others do not understand.
